The Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA) is an international partnership of Europe, North America and East Asia in cooperation with the Republic of Chile. ALMA will be a single telescope of revolutionary design, composed initially of 66 high precision antennas located on the Chajnantor plateau, 5000 meters altitude in northern Chile. The Joint ALMA Observatory (JAO) provides the unified leadership and management of the construction, commissioning and operation of ALMA in Chile. The JAO is staffed and funded by the Executives (European, North American, and East Asian). The ALMA Regional Centers (ARCs) are operated and managed by the Executives. They are designed to provide scientific interactions and support for the respective ALMA user communities. The ARCs are responsible for providing deliverables of scientific and social value for the regional ALMA user community through operations and maintenance of ALMA in cooperation with the Joint ALMA Observatory. In this talk we will give a general overview on how Operations are organized and perfomed in this international collaboration.
