25 February 2019
This Announcement of Opportunity (AO) solicits proposals for participation in the Cluster Guest Investigator (GI) and Early Career Scientist (ECS) programme.
Proposals for this programme must identify compelling scientific studies that make use of the Cluster spacecraft and payload in 2020. Proposals to exploit Cluster data with other satellite data, or proposals for theoretical and/or modelling studies focused on the goals and objectives of the Cluster mission, are encouraged.
This AO is open to the worldwide scientific community. Co-investigators of experiments on the Cluster mission are eligible to propose under this AO; Principal Investigators are excluded.
Applications for this programme
Proposals for participation as a Cluster Guest Investigator or Early Career Scientist must be preceded by a mandatory Letter of Intent. Proposals not preceded by a Letter of Intent will not be considered. The Letters of Intent and proposals must be submitted using the online forms – see links to the forms below or in the left-hand menu.
Note that for the purpose of this AO, an Early Career Scientist is considered to be an undergraduate or postgraduate (Masters/PhD) student or a scientist who has received their highest degree (BSc, MSc, or PhD) within the past seven years.
Up to ten Guest Investigators and ten Early Career Scientists will be selected through this AO.
