11. ESAC. Ground model for JUICE on-board memory - ESAC Trainees
11. Ground model for JUICE on-board memory
ESA supervisor: Ana Mestre
Collaborator(s): Nicolas Altobelli
Site: ESAC
The Jupiter Icy Moons Explorer (JUICE) mission, faces a significant challenge due to the limited data rate for transmitting science data from Jupiter back to Earth. To address this, effective on-board memory management is essential to ensure all necessary data is downloaded in a timely manner, avoiding data loss and planning for upcoming science observation oportunities. This project aims to develop a ground model that simulates JUICE's on-board memory status over time to aid the data downlink prioritization process.
Project duration: 6 months.
