UPCOMING FEATURES

Plans for future ESASky development include (not ordered by priority):

  • Jupyter and Qt widget pyESASky 
  • Prototype for new IVOA protocols (ObsLocTAP & ObjVis)
  • Inclusion of data from other missions / telescopes 
  • Allow user provided tables, HiPS and footprints and catalogues from any external TAP
  • Updates to the viewer (inc. tuning the contrast of the images)
  • Updates to the data panel
  • Time Domain
  • Internationalisation
  • On the Solar System Interface:
    • New search interface to allow asteroid orbital parameters as input
    • Include new satellites: XMM-Newton OM, ISO-CAM,  Spitzer, Akari.
    • Add Solar System Search functionality trhough ESASky Astroquery module
