Accommodation

Participants are reponsible for booking their own accomodation. We recommend staying within Leiden City Centre so that everything is reachable at walking distance. Close to the Leiden Central Station there are some reliable hotel options:

• Ibis Leiden Centre: 1-person room, €149 per night, breakfast included, excluding city tax (€3.50 p.p.p.n); can be reserved via email to H8087-RE@accor.com, mentioning “Euclid” in the reservation.

Available until Feb 7, 2025.

Other hotels in the vicinity of Leiden:

• Bastion Hotel Oegstgeest: (a short bus ride away, and used by the Lorentz Center in its early days).
• Bastion Hotel Leiden Voorschoten: (~30 min to Stadsgehoorzaal by bus)

 

In The Hague (prices are generally more economical than Leiden):

• NH Den Haag (near the Laan van NOI train station, which has direct connection to Leiden)
• Babylon Hotel (right outside Den Haag Centraal with frequent service to Leiden)
• Mercure Hotel Den Haag Central (short walk from Den Haag Centraal)
• Holiday Inn Express (short walk from Den Haag Centraal)
• Novotel Den Haag City Center (10 min walk from Den Haag Centraal)
• Ibis Styles Den Haag (15 min walk from Den Haag Centraal)
• Moxy The Hague (~35 min to Stadsgehoorzaal, Intercity train from Den Haag Centraal)
• Fletcher Hotel-Restaurant Leidschendam – Den Haag (sprinter train from Den Haag Mariahoeve)

Alternatively, if you prefer to stay close to the sea, have a look at Katwijk aan Zee or Noordwijk aan Zee, both easily reachable by bus. Here are some economical options in the beach area. Since it is currently not the beach season, there are available rooms at the moment. It takes approximately 30-45 min by bus from these hotels to Stadsgehoorzaal.
