Euclid Sky Survey Working Group

The objective of the ESSWG is to understand and to document scenarios for the Euclid sky survey in order to propose a survey strategy and implied reference survey which give the best solution to the mission operation constraints and scientific objectives of the mission.

The mission operation constraints are documented in the mission operations concept document part A (MOCD-A). The survey components, optimised scenarios or survey strategies, and reference survey - a (best) possible instance of a Euclid Survey - are provided in the mission operations concept part B (MOCD-B). These are the main sources of documentation for this working group.

Composition

The ESSWG is co chaired by the EC Survey Scientist and the Euclid Project Scientist. The members come from the EC and ESA, and may have involvement in other working groups to enable coordination.
