Hipparcos Publications in Peer-Reviewed Journals
Since the publication by ESA of The Hipparcos and Tycho Catalogues in 1997, many hundreds of scientific papers have been published using data from the mission. Some of these are highlighted in the Scientific Highlights page on this website.

A list of post-launch, peer-reviewed Hipparcos publications can be found here. The publications in this list meet at least one of the following criteria:

  1. Makes direct use of Hipparcos or Tycho data.
  2. Predicts results from the Hipparcos mission.
  3. Describes the Hipparcos mission, its instruments, operations, software or calibration.
