Dora Föhring

Astronomer and NEO Observer

Main Research Fields

My main research interests are related to planetary science, asteroid detection, planetary defense and astronomical insturmentation. I engage in astrometric and photometric observations of Near-Earth Asteriods to understand their orbits, composition, and possible origins. I am interested in developing novel instrumentation and teqchniques for ground-based observations, and I am currently working on the development of ESA's Flyeye telscope network, which is designed to detect smaller asteroids on a collision course with Earth.
