All scientific and housekeeping data will be downlinked from the CSC spacecraft, thus DARA data are first transmitted from the OSC to the CSC and then downlinked. The downlink is implemented by S-band antenna during the time periods outside the formation flying. Due to geometric constraints the data link rate will vary within the orbit from 95 kbps to 365 kbps. It is expected to receice 16 GBit of ASPIICS data within one week. To avoid data loss, two concepts have been implemented on-board: a large mass memory of 88 Gbit and further an interface to select parts of the mass memory for selection from ground (Selective Data Downlink), controlled by the Science Operations Centre.

The data will be downlinked using both the SSC and the INTA antenna network using S-band antenna from Santiago, Yatharraga, Maspalomas, and Vilspa.

The Mission Operation Centre (MOC) loated in ESEC, Redu, will provide the science data to the ASPIICS and DARA SOCs.
