VISA

As it is not foreseen that the SWT group will enter the launch site itself, only tourist visa are required.

They can be obtained from iVisa.com , you do not need an invitation for the tourist visa.

You can also requet the visa directly from the Indian Government Page.

Vaccination

Please check with your local medical services, all or some of the following vaccinations might be needed:

• Typhoid
• Japanese encepaphalitis
• Hepatitis A+B
• Rabies
• DTP

TRAVEL

Of course there are no obliged travel guidelines, but we recommend you arrive a day before the launch and plan your return a day after the SWT. 

We recommend to stay in one of the Chennai hotels during your whole stay (see below), and thus plan your trip to and from Chennai airport. A transportation to and from the launch site in Sriharikota will be arranged.

HOTEL RECOMMENDATIONS

We recommend two hotels in the vicinity of the SWT meeting place, which is the SRM University Chennai. If you contact the hotel, please mention 'PROBA-3 Science Working Team/ European Scientist'.

This is for the purposes of transport and other logistics organization.

Travel from airport to hotel

Please check with your hotel booking as there is often a hotel shuttle avaialble to bring you to your hotel.

TRAVEL TO LAUNCH SITE

We will meet at 09:00 in front of the SRM Hotel from where the buses to the launch site are leaving.

If you come from Chennai in the morning, you may consider leaving early (07:00 local time) and have breakfast at the SRM Hotel. The address of the SRM hotel is given above in this article.

Science Working Team Meeting

The SWT will take place at the  SRM University, Kattankulathur, Tamil Nadu 603203, India. Building TBD.
