Transport and accommodation

The SSW9 will take place in the Van der Valk Hotel in Akersloot. It is expected that all participants stay in the hotel for the full duration of the workshop (two nights). Rooms will be booked by the workshop organisers for all registered participants.

Busses will be organised to:

• transport ESTEC staff to and from the hotel - please sign up when registering. The current plan is that the bus will depart ESTEC on Monday 7 November at 11:30. A buffet lunch will be served on arrival at the hotel. Please check into the hotel between 14:00 and 14:30. The return bus will depart the hotel at 14:30 on Wednesday 9 November.
• transport ESAC staff to and from Schiphol - please sign up when registering. The current plan is that the bus will depart Schiphol (exact location TBD) at 12:15 (in time for people flying in on the IB3722 flight). A buffet lunch will be served on arrival at the hotel. Please check into the hotel during the afternoon coffee break (~16:00-16:30). The return bus will depart the hotel at 16:00 on Wednesday 9 November, to allow catching the 1840/UX1094 and 1905/IB3725 flights from Schiphol).

The meeting is full board with all meals included. The first meal is lunch on Monday 7 November and the last meal will be lunch on Wednesday 9 November. There will be a buffet dinner in the hotel on Monday evening and a sit-down dinner in a restaurant in the centre of Alkmaar on the second evening (bus transport between hotel and Alkmaar will be arranged).
