VENUE AND TRANSPORT

 

The meeting will take place at the European Space Astronomy Centre (ESAC) in Villanueva de la Cañada near Madrid. More about ESAC and how to get there can be found on:

Please note that there is no public transport to ESAC, the closet bus-stop is 2.5 kms distant. For that reason we will provide a shuttle service between Madrid and ESAC as detailed below.

SHUTTLE between Madrid and Esac

A bus will shuttle the attendees between Madrid city and ESAC:

 

  • Mon, June 25th:​​​
    • Bus departing ESAC to Madrid centre (returning to Hotel Moncloa Exe) at 08:00
      • They will be labelled as 'ESA/ESAC Gaia DR2"
      • Contact +34 91 8131254 in case you need some assistance from the LOC

 

  • Wed, Oct 18th:
    • Bus departing opposite to 'Hotel Moncloa Exe' to ESAC at 08:00
    • Returning to 'Hotel Moncloa Exe' from ESAC at 20:30 (after cocktail)

  • Thu, Oct 19th:
    • Bus departing opposite to 'Hotel Moncloa Exe' to ESAC at 08:00
    • Returning to 'Hotel Moncloa Exe' from ESAC at 18:00

  • Fri, Oct 20th:
    • Bus departing opposite to 'Hotel Moncloa Exe' to ESAC at 08:00
    • Shuttle to the airport (terminal T4) at 14:00
