ESA Traineeships in space science

ESA offers a number of student and recent graduate internship programmes to work on substantial research projects with members of the ESA Space Science Faculty.

• Final year master's students or recent graduates
  • Projects lasting up to 1 year via the ESA Young Graduate Trainnee (YGT) or the Graduate National Trainee programmes

• Undergraduate and master's students
  • 3-6 month SCI-S Trainee Projects in space science offered at ESAC in Madrid (Spain) and ESTEC in Noordwijk (The Netherlands). They are part of the ESA Student Internship program, offered in a broad range of discipline at many of the ESA establishments
  • 10 week astronomy and astrophysics projects as part of the Leiden/ESA Astrophysics Program for Summer Students (LEAPS) programme, a joint placement at Leiden Observatory and ESTEC in the Netherlands
