XMM-Newton Observatory Revolution 1000

On 25th May 2005 at 04:49 UTC the XMM-Newton Observatory began revolution 1000.

Launched over 5 years ago at the end of 1999, the satellite has been consistently producing great science and helping us better understand our universe.

During this time the Science Operations Centre, the XMM-Newton SOC, has been working to produce these results for the global scientific community. We thought we should celebrate a little.
