NIRSpec Simulations

Welcome to the web site of JWST/NIRSpec simulations. Following the links below you can download NIRSpec mock data. These currently consist of:

• a simulation of a MOS program, mimicking a subset of NIRSpec GTO program
• simulations of the effect of cosmic rays bombardments on NIRSpec dark exposures, expected at L2

As we progress towards launch, we will deliver simulations of other instrument modes and ever more realistic simulated data, that users will eventually be able to process with the standard STScI pipeline.
